Thorns Duet - Rina Kent

Image
Stumbling through the RinaVerse, we come up next to the Thorns Duet.   Red Through and Black Thorns tell the story of Sebastian Weaver and Naomi Chester and their very messy, bloody love story.  Naomi is a cheerleader, in theory, but she has never really belonged to the inner circle.  Sebastian is the hunkiest football player.  When Reina Ellis, the queen bee of the cheerleaders, makes a dare for Sebastian to sleep with Naomi he has to take the bait and thus the chase begins.  And I mean that literally. So much chasing and some incredibly dirty primal play sexy times later they realize how good they are together but not before Naomis history comes back to haunt them.  Who is her dad and why is he such a mystery that her mother refuses to acknowledge him? That's the big question and that question leads to the incredibly nail biting cliffhanger of book two.  Which leads us to a time jump as fashion house CEO Naomi and bad ass lawyer Sebastian conti...

Lies and Truths - Rina Kent

Image
Let's get mafiatastic with the Rinaverse and the Lies and Truths duet. Asher Carson and Reina Ellis are deliciously dirty when put together. Who is the REAL Reina Ellis? Does Asher love her or hate her?  After an accident leaves Reina with memory loss she is forced to navigate the world again and figure out who and what she is. It's not an easy answer.  Asher Carson is her betrothed and ... they can't seem to stand each other? Why? Well there's a story there.  Who can they trust? Can they even trust one another?  This duet includes some delightful high school drama, intense family drama, a way over the top MMC in Asher, and so many twists and turns that I was dizzy by the end!  5 star spice, 5 star read. Add one more to my book boyfriend list.

Kingdom Duet - Rina Kent

Continuing our trip through the Rinaverse, lets talk about the awesomeness that is the Kingdom Duet.   Hello Jonathan King. Father of Aiden. Uncle of Eli. Total badass billionaire businessman and sex god. Was I expecting to lust after the dad as hard as on Aiden and Eli? Nope. Did I? FUCK YES.  Then meet Aurora. Half sister of Jonathans deceased wife, Alicia. She has been fascinated and terrified of Jonathan since she was a teenager, even younger, and now she is back in his orbit after having avoided the King family all together since her sisters passing.  It's giving enemies to lovers, forbidden lust, forced proximity, age gap, and five star heat.  Aurora is a very complicated character and I loved watching her grow and change through these two books.  Jonathan? He's got depth but he's just ... intense all the time. About everything. Everyone. All day. Like... as much as people talk about the younger Eli King, or Brandon and Landon King I am all in on Gra...
