Batter Up Series - Brittany Ann

So, the weather is getting warmer and I like sports romance so I was like let's go from hockey to baseball. Oh? Batter Up? That sounds cute! 

IT WAS NOT CUTE. No.. what I thought was going to be a cute baseball romance was a hot, steamy, sexy, thrilling baseball MAFIA romance that lead me to a street racing romance series and a cowboy romance series and I am not mad about it. 

I have eye strain and my hands are full from juggling all these new book boyfriends but I am not mad about it. 


First we meet Dean. Baseball player, hottie, over-the-top-over-protective baddie, and my new boyfriend. Is he trouble in tight pants? Of course he is. Dean and his girl go on the run ... and take my heart with them.



Gwen goes hard core revenge girl against the mafia for everything that happened in Batter Up. I love that journey for her. Seriously. Gwen is my book girlfriend. She's the hotness. 


Oh hi Agent Sexy. Didn't see you there with my other boyfriends and girlfriends. Nice to see you there. James enters the party with his sexy suits and control issues. Sure, let's take down the mafia and fall in love while under cover and save lives and be super sexy all at the same time. Sure. Let's go. 


Really? Gonna make me fall in love with the hitman now? First the law man and now the hitman? Brittany Ann... what are you doing to me. My hands are full and now we've got a legitimate HITMAN to juggle? I mean, fine, I'll take him but he's the last one...


Or not... Jeremy... the street racing, tough as nails, criminal-slash-business-man with a heart of gold. He's all torn up because his sister was missing and he feels responsible for her, for everyone he cares about. Ugh, seeing under the tough facade like getting under the hood of a car... fine. You're on the squad too. 

No more book boyfriends! Except for the ones in the books in the Langston Brothers duet and the Burnout series which round out this universe and tie up the story because I SWEAR TO ALL THAT IS HOLY each man in this world is delicious, and devious, and tasty, and yum. 

One of the things that I love the most about these books is that Brittany Ann made a universe so complete that I was like wait... no... this book can't be over, I need MORE. I need to hang out with these guys AGAIN. It was like binge watching my favorite TV show. One more episode. One more chapter, One more book. One more friend to meet. I devoured them. 

There are some very dark moments and if mafia men and over protective guys with very dirty mouths aren't your thing then this might not be for you but... sign me up and bring me more. MORE! 

Totally 4.75 out of 5 stars for the series as a whole.

 HAPPY RELEASE DAY TO MADI DANIELLE AND THE BREAK OUT  the newest release in the Denver Dragons series.  I was *SO HONORED* to be an ARC reader for this book and I have read it twice. Exile - Poppy Fitzgerald

 I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for Exile by Poppy Fitzgerald and let me tell you... HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER GO READ THIS NOW.  We met the FMC of this book, Serena, in Poppys first book, Astray, where she was a police officer attempting to help Eloise when she was being stalked. Serena said she understood... and here we find out why. Serena is working at the local coffee shop and Dominick, a local officer, comes in every day and there's flirting. When they finally go out on a date she is so taken by his generosity and up front kindness that she overlooks the red flags like a blind bull.  But why would she want to see the worst in people when she was living with a sick mother, severe traumatic brain injury from the car accident that killed her father, and barely scraping by to put herself through college.
