The Burnout Series - Brittany Ann

Just when I thought St. Louis was through with me... oh no... first we had Baseball mafia men and then we had Cowboys and now the incredible trilogy of the Burnout series which is hot ass STREETRACERS.

The third book of this hot ass series was just released yesterday and after a very late night I finished the book in record speed today and I am just ... hot damn. So let's talk about the men of Oasis.

Dontell and Mina take the spotlight in this novel full of racing and family drama (both biological and chosen family), and sex trafficking. Seriously, consider your triggers, folks. I didn't know I wanted a man to bang me over the hood of a car so badly until I met these men.

And it only gets more intense with Leon and Amara. Um... Leon is a controlling, bad ass, sexy mother fucker who I will submit to any day. At one point he says "Good girls get pleasure. Bad ones get used" and this made me feel all bratty inside and I had a very hard time concentrating on the plot for a while. This book has it all though, we still got mafia, and street racing, and a cop falling for a criminal and did I mention a very morally grey sexy man with control issues? Because really this was the key to this book for me. So. Yeah, Leon FTW.

But the most recent release and the series wrap up is the incredible Full Throttle focusing on Cain and Dominique and all of the plot lines coming to a head. Everyone shows up. Everyone plays a part. Everyone gets their moment. And we get to see brilliant gear head Cain get his girl Nikki in this final installment. And he is beautiful and he is controlling and he likes to be called Daddy and he is in fact Daddy.

Basically Cain. Forever Daddy.

The way I gasped my way through this book. OH NO THEY DIDN'T. THE FUCK THEY DID. OH SHIIIIIIIIIIT. Yeah. It was a ride. It all paid off. I am just. I can't even. Read it. Read them all. All 10 books. Go.

This series is a hard 4.75 out of 5 stars.

Brittany Ann is a brilliant story teller. It's clear she loves her characters and the worlds she builds. They're fun reads. Intense and sometimes a little hard to stomach but that's what makes them fun. It's like watching Sons of Anarachy or Breaking Bad. You know something bad is about to but... well, let's just enjoy the ride, enjoy the scenery, and know that at the end, in this case, there is a happy ending.
