A Little Tempting - Kelsie Rae

A Little Tempting is the second book in the The Little Things series by Kelsie Rae and probably my favorite book by her so far.

Dylan is the youngest child of Colt & Ashlyn from Rae's Don't Let Me Fall and she is just ... well relatable. I am a hot mess of anxiety and clumsiness and awkward and like to ignore all my social engagements and never talk to an attractive person again. She also has terrible headaches and migraines from getting hit in the head with a hockey puck by Everette (the eldest son of Macklin and Kate from Don't Let Me Break) when she was younger and there's a whole lot of angst and guilt there so he acts more like a protector than even her two older brothers Jaxon and Griffin do.

What a great set up for ALL THE TENSION when super innocent little Dylan goes off to college with all the hot hockey players living RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO HER, right? Absolutely.

Especially when hockey hottie and super damaged Oliver Reeves takes an interest in her.

Reeves may be one of my favorite “men written by a woman” characters ever. Insightful. Funny. Empathetic. Driven to protect women in a way that’s proactive and not just reactive. He is so squishy it just makes me melt. When guys say romance books give women unrealistic ideals for men - this is who they’re talking about. No college junior thinks like this. Dreamy sigh. Oh, Reeves.

I really love this couple. I love how they work. I love how they balance each other. I love the journey. I loved the whole thing. Seriously. It hit all my buttons. 5 stars on this one.
